English Geo & Tex 2000 S.p.A. is proud to be the main sponsor of the first edition of the “Adriatica Ionica Race” professional race, category 2.1, included in the Europe Tour calendar of the International Cycling Union, which will run in five stages from 20 to 24 June and will cover Italian regions of Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Adriatica Ionica Race has the important patronage of the European Group of Territorial Cooperation (EGECT), which includes Veneto Region, Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and Austrian Carinthia. The project of the race does not stop for 2018 but looks to the future with the goal in five years to get to Athens, Greece, following the ancient routes of the Serenissima, the hitorical Venetian state that ruled the mediterranean for centuries. Moreno Argentin, ex cycling pro, World Champion of 1986, creator of Adriatica Ionica Race together with Marco Ferro of Quanto Basta srl, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership: “There is a lot of pride in having a partenership with Geo&Tex 2000, a company known throughout Europe.
