EN 12224 - DETERMINATION OF THE RESISTANCE TO WEATHERING

The test procedure consists in the exposition of the geotextile specimen to a specific UV light source for a prearranged time, under fixed conditions of temperature and humidity.   The light source consists in fluorescent UV lamps between 290-400 nm, used at cycles of dry UV radiation with temperature of 50 +/- 3 °C, alternated to cycles with spray of water with a temperature of 20 +/- °C. The total energy irradiated is equal to 50 MJ/m2 .
